Periodontal treatment
Periodontal treatment addresses diseases affecting the supporting structures around teeth,
including the gums (gingiva), periodontal ligament, and alveolar bone. Common procedures include scaling, root planing, and periodontal surgery.
Emdogain Treatment Available
Emdogain is a regenerative protein treatment that promotes the regrowth of
gum tissue and alveolar bone when applied to areas damaged by gum disease.
It is primarily used for periodontal regeneration in cases where gum
bone has been lost due to periodontitis.

Cavity Treatment
Stage 1
Enamel Caries
Initial damage limited to the outer enamel layer
Fluoride application
regular monitoring may allow natural healing
Small resin restorations if needed
Stage 2
Dentin Caries
Decay has progressed beyond enamel into dentin,
possibly causing sensitivity or pain
Removal of decay followed by resin filling or inlay/onlay restoration
(we use 3M Lava inlays)
Same-day inlay fabrication available
Small resin fillings may be used as well
Stage 3
Pulpitis (Nerve Infection)
Bacteria have reached the dental pulp causing severe pain
Root canal treatment followed by a crown
We offer same-day fabrication of all-ceramic and zirconia crowns
Stage 4
Apical Periodontitis
/ Cyst Formation
Infection has spread to the root tip, causing swelling or pus formation
Extraction and implant placement may be necessary
Retreatment of root canal or surgical intervention may be required
3M™ Single Bond Universl & 3M RelyX™ Ultimate Cement
3M ESPE’s unique formula allows for optimal collagen network rehydration,
producing a clear hybrid layer on both moist and dry dentin surfaces.
This ensures excellent bonding strength and minimizes postoperative sensitivity under any condition.

Phase I Orthodontic Treatment
Phase I Orthodontic Treatment is an early-stage orthodontic intervention performed during the mixed dentition period (when baby teeth and permanent teeth coexist) or typically between early elementary to early middle school ages. The main goals include jaw growth guidance, preventing severe malocclusion, creating space for permanent teeth, and correcting harmful oral habits.
Jaw Growth Guidance and Control
For cases where the upper or lower jaw protrudes or is recessed excessively, treatment guides jaw growth according to the child's developmental stage.
Space Maintenance for Permanent Teeth
Prevents misalignment by securing space when baby teeth fall out prematurely
or when space is insufficient.
Prevention of Severe Malocclusion
Early intervention is necessary for serious conditions such as underbite (protruding lower jaw) or open bite.
Correction of Oral Habits
Helps prevent malocclusion caused by habits like thumb sucking,
tongue thrusting, or mouth breathing.
Most children will require Phase II treatment (comprehensive full orthodontic treatment) after all permanent teeth have erupted.
Phase I treatment is primarily preventive—aimed at reducing problems early to make subsequent orthodontics more efficient and shorter in duration

Pre-Ortho (Pre-Orthodontics)
Most children will require Phase II treatment (comprehensive full orthodontic treatment) after all permanent teeth have erupted. Phase I treatment Pre-Ortho is short for “Pre Orthodontics,” referring to early preventive orthodontic care that supports jaw growth and dental development in children. It is usually targeted at children aged 6 to 12, before the full eruption of permanent teeth. Instead of traditional braces, functional appliances are used to encourage normal growth of the jaws and dental arches.s primarily preventive—aimed at reducing problems early to make subsequent orthodontics more efficient and shorter in duration

Facemask
A facemask is an orthodontic device worn externally on the face to encourage forward growth of the upper jaw. It is primarily used for growing children (around elementary school age) and is highly effective for early correction of underbite (prognathism).
01
A non-surgical way to treat underbite.
02
Redirects jaw growth to promote
a more natural facial profile.
03
Reduces the difficulty and complexity of future Phase II orthodontic treatment.

Phase II Orthodontic Treatment
Phase II Orthodontic Treatment is the comprehensive orthodontic treatment typically performed after the mixed dentition period, usually when all permanent teeth have erupted—generally from late elementary to middle school age or older. This stage focuses on the detailed alignment of teeth and bite correction to achieve optimal function and aesthetics. At UPenn ivy Dental Clinic, we use only certified genuine orthodontic materials that have been thoroughly tested and verified.
